How do I book a band with ALBA?

Just get in touch with us through the website and let us know your wedding date and location. We will check availability and recommend the right bands for you. Once you are happy, we will guide you through the simple booking process.

How far in advance should we book our band?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak wedding dates. Many of our bands are booked 12 to 24 months in advance, but it is always worth checking even if your date is coming up soon.

How much does it cost to book a band through ALBA?

Each band has its own pricing depending on the date, location and any extras you might want. We will always give you a clear, all inclusive quote with no hidden fees.

Can we see the bands play live before booking?

Most of our bands focus on weddings and private events, so public performances are rare. However, we can send you videos, reviews and full repertoire lists to help you get a feel for what they do. We are launching some showcase events too as well!

What kind of music do the bands play?

Our bands cover a wide range of music from classic hits and modern chart songs to ceilidh, indie, rock, pop, soul and more. Each band has its own style, and we will help you choose one that fits your taste.

Can we choose the set list?

Yes, all of our bands are happy to work with you on the set list. While they will always tailor their set to suit the crowd on the night, you are welcome to highlight your favourites or let them know any songs you would prefer to avoid.

Will the band learn our first dance song?

Most bands will be happy to learn your first dance song if it suits their line up and style. Let us know early so we can check it is possible with your chosen band. Some bands charge a fee for learning specific First Dance requests.

How long do the bands play for?

Standard bookings with wedding bands include three hours of live music, usually split into three sets. The band will also provide background or disco music before, between and after their live sets to keep the party going.

Do the bands bring their own equipment?

Yes, all of our bands are fully self contained and bring everything they need including sound system, lighting and instruments. All equipment is PAT tested and insured.

Can the band provide music for our ceremony or drinks reception?

Many of our bands offer additional acoustic sets or solo performers for earlier parts of the day. Just ask and we will let you know what your chosen band can offer.

How far will the bands travel?

Our bands cover the whole of Scotland and beyond. Travel costs may apply depending on the location, and we will always include these in your quote so there are no surprises.

Are the bands insured?

Yes, every band we work with has full public liability insurance and PAT tested equipment, which most venues require.

What happens if a band member is ill or unavailable on the day?

All of our bands have professional backup musicians ready to step in if needed. In the rare event of a serious issue, we will always do everything we can to find a suitable replacement and ensure the show goes on.

Do we get a contract?

Yes, every booking is confirmed with a professional contract so you know exactly what is included and when payments are due.

What payment options are available?

We offer flexible payment plans including a four stage plan, monthly instalments or weekly payments. All are interest free, and we will help you choose the one that suits you best.
